Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
AFTERNOON STROLL IN MT. PLEASANT CEMETERY
Yonge/Davisville
We will meet at the Yonge/Davisville entrance to the cemetery. You can access it a little south of Chaplin/Davisville and then take the steps on the east side of Yonge by the Kay Gardner Belt-line Bridge (well-marked) to get on the belt-line and then a little east to the cemetery entrance where Christine will be waiting. Or turn left on Merton St. (one street S after Balliol on Yonge) and cut through the first side street on the right, to the cemetery entrance – saves walking up the steps. TTC: Davisville, cross to S/E corner of Yonge and follow as above. We will stroll through, looking out for interesting headstones then we'll walk eastward for about an hour. Bring a snack for when we take a break.

IMPORTANT: Register by Sep 27. Please wear comfortable shoes, bring water AND A MASK! For those driving, there are a number of side streets off of Yonge/Chaplin to park. The $5 UKC levy will apply. Allan Gardens
VISIT TO ALLAN GARDENS ON COLLEGE STREET
Downtown
Allan Gardens might be just the place to cheer us up on a “nearing winter” day. It's open all year round from noon to 4 pm (currently) and COVID precautions apply. After a walk through the gardens, let’s stroll further towards the Yonge/Dundas area where we can grab some hot chocolate to drink along the way (or bring your own with you) as we make our way to The Bay to view the windows dressed for Christmas.

If we feel like it, we can split into smaller groups or go on our own and do a bit of Christmas shopping in The Bay and surrounding shops and then either meet up again and ??? or go home. Remember that a mask will be needed as well as the $5 UKC levy. Please have a $5 bank note or pre-written cheque ready payable to UK Connexion. If you are interested, contact Christine by the Sun prior at 416-256-5851 or christineukc23@gmail.com.
